IIPM TO DOWN ITS SHUTTERS FROM OCTOBER 2015

Webdesk, TNI New Delhi, 4th July, 2015: If the note on IIPM website is to be believed, then in an interesting decision the most criticized B-school i.e. Indian Institute of Planning and Management will down its shutter from all of its 18 campuses in India by this October. It has already closed its admission into its Management programmes right now. It is to be noted that by October 2015 all the batches currently studying in IIPM will complete their courses. A note on the IIPM website states that from 2015 IIPM has entered into “technical collaboration of knowledge sharing with various institutions in India & has stopped taking direct admissions. The celebrity director of IIPM Arindam Chaudhuri, said to the press, “We are no longer interested in directly offering education programmes to students since the processes itself are very complex. The series of negative campaigns also dissuaded IIPM from continuing further. I would rather concentrate on imparting education via a partner, while infrastructure and degrees/diploma can be dealt by the institute concerned,” he said. Earlier in May this year, the Delhi Police had registered a case against IIPM founder Arindam Chaudhari after a complaint was filed by the University Grants Commission (UGC), accusing the institute of “cheating” and “fooling” its students.
